Finally a new update! More pictures of Cate :)

I've been neglecting the blog because facebook is easier to upload photos to. I guess I should add some new stuff here for those of you not on facebook.....

Here is what our darling Cate has been up to this past year! She's 16 months old now and into everything! She likes:

Daddy

Mommy (in that order, haha)

Animals - especially dogs and cats

food - especially grapes, goldfish, cheese, and suprisingly, veggies

music (she likes to listen, watch, and do the actions to songs

dancing (she loves to watch dancing and dance herself)

books (especially ones with animals or flaps to lift)

playing outside (walking, saying hi to neighborhood dogs, spotting airplanes, the moon, etc.)

knocking down blocks

pretend talking on the phone

making messes

throwing food on the floor

kicking balls

climbing on everything!

She is a very busy, happy girl and she keeps us on our toes!

Catherine in Motion

Catherine learned to crawl about 3 weeks ago. She loves being able to explore and have more control over her environment! She loves to play "chase" where we crawl behind her saying "I'm gonna get you!". She just cracks up. She also loves to pull herself up to stand and walk while holding our hands. She can even balance standing up all by herself, but hasn't taken any steps on her own yet. We think she'll be walking by her first birthday! She loves getting into things she shouldn't and likes to crawl under things. Unfortunately, this also means she gets stuck a lot! Here are pictures of Catherine in motion, enjoy! (she's about 9 1/2 months old in these)

Our Beach Babe!

We took Catherine to play at the beach for the first time. She loved it! We were in a harbor near Newport Beach, CA so the waves were very gentle and small. It was late afternoon and nice and warm, but the water was still pretty cold. Catherine loved playing with the sand and wading in the water. She liked the water so much she tried to sit down in it! Good thing I had extra clothes in the car. We'll have to take her when it's really warm this summer and bring he swimming suit. I can't wait, she'll have a blast!

All about hair!

Ever since she was born with tons of hair, Cate has had a bow in it. Now, at almost 8 months, I've been experimenting more. We've tried foam curlers, pig tails, pony tails, and hats this week. Super cute and she doesn't seem to mind any of it! Enjoy!

January, Catherine's 5th month!

Baby "Houdini" here mysteriously turned herself around in her crib one afternoon....
Catherine can sit all by herself now! Her balance isn't perfect, but it's getting better.


She LOVES to stand and play in this activity center!
We always read stories before bedtime.
