"God expects you to have enough faith and determination and enough trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. In fact, He expects you not simply to face the future (that sounds pretty grim and stoic); He expects you to embrace and shape the future--to love it and rejoice in it and delight in your opportunities."

Some Summertime Fun in July

Cate will sometimes copy what we are doing.  Here we happened to catch it on camera, twice!
Watching the 4th of July Parade with friends.
Happy Independence Day smiles!  I am happy that Cate was able to wear her red, white, and blue tutu for the second year in a row.  Very cute.

Cate with 2 of her friends.  She collected a lot of necklaces that people in the parade had thrown.
Showing off their candy.  There wasn't much, but any candy is exciting!
Bundled up to watch the fireworks.  It wasn't really that cold, but she wanted to be all wrapped up!
Cate is very into drawing and painting these days.  She creates many masterpieces on her easel.  I love to watch her concentrating so hard.
Since she paints and draws on butcher paper, I decided to save her pictures to use as wrapping paper.  We wrapped a friends birthday present in one piece and it was very special.  At the rate Cate is creating we may never have to buy wrapping paper again!  :)
